The Mycodome system comes by itself or with extra options
The Mycodome is now available by itself, OR you can choose from these upgrade options to get a faster start on the growing process. The Mycodome does not come with substrate jars so that we could give YOU an opportunity to choose the experience level. There are two options to choose from: MYG Mini or 6 Substrate Jars
Mini MYG Kit - $30.00 upgrade
You get 1 half gallon jar of pre-sterlized rye grain, . 1 bag of casing soil, 1 small bag of shredded wheat straw, & 2 foil casing trays, and 1 vial of casing starter. All of this fits perfectly into your Mycodome. You should be familiar with pasteurizing substrates and the basic rules of sterility to work with this kit. We recommend this one for more experienced growers. The mini MYG will flush meatier mushrooms more often than those off of cakes. You will be amazed how far straw will go!
6 substrate jars - $30.00 upgrade
These half pint, wide mouth jars are packed with our secret recipe and are guaranteed to flush beautiful, healthy mushrooms. The “cake method” is a very easy way to grow mushrooms and we recommend this for any beginners in mycology. Inject the jars with your favorite edible culture and within a week or two the jars will be filled with white mycelium. Fruit them in your Mycodome 2.0 with its precise new features.

1) The Mycodome for Incubation of jars, growbags, or casings
Incubation is used to maintain your thriving mycelium at optimal environmental conditions for growth and development. The Mycodome achieves this in the first step of the process by using the lower chamber and the submersible heater to create a warm, dark environment for your jars, bags, or casing to incubate safely.
2) The Mycodome for Fruiting
Fruiting mushrooms is the fun part. The mycodome achives this easily by creating the perfect environment for mushrooms to come to life and reach there maximum potential. The curved dome lid holds in the moisture and lets it slowley drip down while the subersible heater keeps it warm enough to maintain fruiting temperatures required for the species of mushroom you decide to grow. The LECA and airpump keep fresh clean air flowing into the fruiting chamber to let the mushrooms breath and have proper air exchange.
3) The Mycodome for drying
The final step in preparing your edible mushrooms for a recipe or storage is to dry them. The Mycodome can do this as well. There is just a few simple steps to convert your mycodome into the drying mode, it takes seconds and you can leave it working, usually within a few days your mushrooms are fully dried.
